Who we are and what this covers

Mapi is provided by Mapier Labs Inc. ("Mapier Labs", "we", "us"). These terms cover the Mapi app, its iMessage app, its websites and the services behind them (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.

Who can use the Service

Mapi is rated 9+ on the App Store. If you are under the age where you can agree to these terms where you live, use the Service only with permission from a parent or guardian, where the law requires it.

The Service is free

Mapi is free to download and play. It has no purchases and no ads.

Your player ID

There is no sign-up. When you first open the app, you get a random player ID, which the app keeps on your device. If you delete the app or lose your device, we may not be able to bring back your games.

Your moves and scores are shown to the people you play with in your chats.

Playing fair

When you use the Service, do not:

• Cheat, or use bots, scripts or changed apps to play.
• Abuse, harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
• Try to break, overload, probe or get around the security of the Service, or reach parts of it that are not meant for you.
• Use the Service against the law or to hurt anyone.

Reporting, blocking and removal

In a game, tap Report and Block to tell us about a player or a game, or to stop playing with someone.

We may stop serving a player, a match or a game that breaks these terms, or to keep the Service safe, with or without notice.

Our games and content

The Service and its games, art, words and software belong to Mapier Labs or the people we license them from. We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to play the games through the Service, which you cannot transfer. Please do not copy, sell or reverse-engineer them, except where the law allows it.

If you got the app from the App Store

Apple's terms also apply, including Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Changes and ending the Service

We may change, add or take away games and features, or stop the Service, at any time. You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the updated terms.

No promises

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available". It may have bugs, go down, or lose a game. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about it, written or implied, including that it fits a purpose or that it will always work.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mapier Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, games or scores, that come from using the Service.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is so, they apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law where you live says cannot be taken away.

Governing law

Which laws govern these terms, and where disputes are heard, will be set out here before these terms are final.
