Who we are and what this covers

Mapi is provided by Mapier Labs Inc. ("Mapier Labs", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Mapi app, its iMessage app, its websites and the services behind them (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Identifiers the app creates for you, such as a player ID, so the Service can recognise your device and your games.
• Information you choose to provide, such as a nickname, reports, feedback and messages you send us.
• Gameplay information, such as the games you play, your moves, scores and results.
• Technical information, such as log data, device and app details, and the date and time of your requests.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate and maintain the Service, including running games between players.
• Keep the Service safe and fair, prevent abuse, and handle reports.
• Understand how the Service is used, and improve and develop it.
• Communicate with you, including answering your requests.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.

How information is shared

Games are played in your chats, so information such as your nickname, moves and scores is visible to the people you play with.

We may share information with service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting and storage providers; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets; or with your consent.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at hello@mapier.ai.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us at hello@mapier.ai. We may need to verify your request, and some information may be kept where the law allows.

International users

We are based in the United States, and information may be processed there or in other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the updated policy.
